Reviewer Disclosure
Reviewers of Journal of Development and Management Sciences are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and ethical conduct throughout the peer review process. By accepting a review assignment, reviewers agree to the following disclosure principles:
- Confidentiality
All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, distribute, or use any unpublished material contained in the manuscript for personal, academic, or professional advantage. - Conflict of Interest
Reviewers must disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence their objectivity in evaluating the manuscript. Conflicts of interest may include, but are not limited to:- Personal or professional relationships with the authors.
- Institutional affiliations with the authors.
- Financial interests.
- Collaborative research relationships; or
- Competitive academic interests.
Reviewers who identify a conflict of interest should immediately notify the editorial office and decline the review assignment when appropriate.
- Objectivity and Fairness
Reviews must be conducted objectively, fairly, and constructively. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, evidence-based comments and recommendations to support editorial decisions and assist authors in improving their manuscripts. - Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors and notify the editors of any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under review and other published or submitted works known to them. - Timeliness
Reviewers should complete their reviews within the agreed timeframe. If a reviewer is unable to provide a timely review or lacks the expertise required to evaluate the manuscript, they should promptly inform the editorial office. - Ethical Responsibility
Reviewers are encouraged to report any suspected ethical misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, or unethical research practices.
