1. Introduction
Journal of Development and Management Sciences adopts an open access publishing model, ensuring that all published articles are freely and permanently accessible to readers worldwide without subscription or access fees. Through this policy, authors and readers can benefit from unrestricted access to scholarly works, thereby increasing the visibility, dissemination, and citation potential of published articles at both national and international levels.
The journal is committed to supporting the global exchange of scientific knowledge and promoting wider academic collaboration through accessible and high-quality publications.
2. Article Processing Charge (APC)
To support the sustainability and quality of the publication process, Journal of Development and Management Sciences applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts that have been accepted for publication.
The APC covers:
- Peer review management
- Editorial and production processes
- Copyediting and layout editing
- Online publication and hosting
- Digital preservation and long-term archiving
The APC is charged only after the manuscript has received an official Accepted status and does not influence the editorial decision or peer review process.

- National Authors: IDR 2,500,000
- International Authors: USD 160
3. Article Submission Charge (ASC)
Journal of Development and Management Sciences does not charge any Article Submission Charge (ASC). Authors may submit manuscripts free of charge. Fees are only applied after the manuscript has successfully passed the peer review and editorial evaluation process and has been accepted for publication.
4. APC Waiver Policy
The journal provides APC waivers and discounts to support inclusive scholarly publishing and international collaboration.
The waiver policy includes:
- Full APC waiver for authors from low-income countries, subject to editorial consideration.
- A 50% APC discount for manuscripts resulting from international research collaboration involving foreign co-authors.
Requests for waivers or discounts should be submitted to the editorial office during the submission process.
5. Additional Costs
Authors are responsible for professional proofreading fees, particularly for manuscripts written in English. Proofreading is conducted by partner proofreading service providers approved by the journal to ensure language quality and publication standards.
The proofreading cost may vary depending on the length and condition of the manuscript and will be determined after the manuscript revision process.
